I believe that healing is a journey not a destination.
I am passionate about helping individuals heal from adverse events/trauma. I completed my undergrad and graduate studies at the University of Utah; graduating with my Social Work degree in 2013. In my professional journey, I have done extensive trauma training that connects the mind, body and soul. I use a holistic approach to therapy to help my clients heal.
Trauma does not have to be rooted in a catastrophic event to be painful and cause disruptions in your life. Our bodies hold on to the trauma and you can experience physical sensations and emotional dysregulation without knowing why. Somatic work can help you release the energy stuck in the body. My approach to therapy is a partnership with my client, I believe my clients are the experts of their body. We will work to recognize your triggers and heal the underlying cause, so you will no longer feel emotionally dysregulated. Healing from emotional wounds is within reach.
I was born in Venezuela and came to the US as a young girl. I speak fluent Spanish and love diverse cultures. Outside of work, I love reading, being in the water, watching Marvel movies and hanging out with my family.
