Meet Clay

Everyone feels overwhelmed by life at times. Sometimes it’s events that have happened, or looming decisions, or unexpected changes. It can be difficult to even say why we are feeling the anxiety and pressures we experience. I provide a safe environment to be vulnerable and heard without judgement. With empathy, I have sat with many people who have experienced loss and grief. Whether it’s from a change in our beliefs, a change in our quality of life, or no longer having someone in our lives we thought would always be there, it is normal to need help processing these transitions.

I returned to college in 2020 after a 22 year career as a
funeral director. I gained valuable insight interacting with families in a time of crisis which helped me develop better skills in listening and empathy. My goal is to become an LCSW and continue to contribute to my community by helping people achieve balance in their lives.  I believe in a strengths-based approach, helping people recognize the gifts and abilities you have, and helping you discover new tools to support you and build upon those strengths. You do not need to face your challenges alone.

I am a music nerd and listen to almost every genre there is. I love the rich history of it and the way it connects people as a universal language. I also love spending time with my family, whether at home or out and about. I particularly love to travel and experience different places and people.
