Meet Rachel

I highly value the role that movement and nature play in our emotional and physical healing.  In additional to being a mental health therapist, I have a previous Master’s Degree in Movement & Leisure Science with an emphasis in Recreational Leadership.  I aim to incorporate creativity and a mind-body approach with my clients as they navigate challenges and transitions.

My clinical experience includes working with teens, young adults, and adults in both residential and outpatient settings.  My recreational experience includes leading backpacking trips, facilitating ropes courses, and conducting equine-assisted therapy.  In the private practice space, I offer  “walk and talk” therapy at a nearby trails and where we can better incorporate aspects of nature.  This element fosters a better understanding of self, embracing self-compassion as we create a harmonious bond with our natural surroundings.

I am committed to offering respectful and inclusive care for all clients.  I have a lot of experience working with emerging adults, those going through faith transitions, and the LGBTQ+ community.  It is important to me to provide a safe, client-centered environment whether this is in the office or in the natural environment.  I believe a sense of safety is crucial to facilitate healing.

Outside of work I enjoy hiking with my dog, traveling, movie marathons, and dance parties.
